Big Soccer Drafted Leagues - Competitions As of 2008, the 12-Week (Autumn, Winter and Spring) Cups replace the Rock Hard Championship Challenge Cup; so that we have three knockout cups, instead of the previous league competition we ran to 'seed' teams into the Rocking League Cup knockout stage. Hopefully this will prove more exciting for managers as we continue with the Rocking League Cup premise of turning losers into winners and trying to turn winners into losers. Designated 'home teams' get a +1 bonus if the match is drawn. All drafted teams entered into the Olympic Championship League will be eligible to play and league standings are used to seed the teams. If we have more than 30 managers, only the top 30 scorers will enter the Autumn Cup and subsequently the top 30 teams (after Gameweeks 14 and 26 updates) in the league will play in the Winter and Spring Cups. Gameweeks 1 and 2 will be used to get the Olympic Championship League table rolling and allow managers to make post draft adjustments to snap up players still in the pool who turn out to be the hottest thing around since Berbatov's hairband. 12-Week Autumn Cup Table positions will be recorded after Gameweek 2 and the competition will run from Gameweek 3 to Gameweek 14. 12-Week Winter Cup Table positions will be recorded after Gameweek 14 and the competition will run from Gameweek 15 to Gameweek 26. 12-Week Spring Cup Table positions will be recorded after Gameweek 26 and the competition will run from Gameweek 27 to Gameweek 38. Winner 88 vs Winner 89 Week 12 (2 teams) - Gameweeks 14, 26 and 38. 93. Winner 91 vs Winner 92 - The Final. Championship ScoringGoing with a greater weighting towards the later cups, to hopefully keep the season's interest alive, this is what I came up with with regards to scoring: Autumn Cup (A)1st: 4 points Winter Cup (B)1st: 5 points Spring Cup (C)1st: 10 points This would mean that a team winning the 1st two cups and coming second in the final cup of the season would have 15 points; whereas a team coming second in the first two cups and winning the finale would clear up with 17 points. That's assuming the same two teams contest all three finals. A team finishing second in all three finals, would have more points than a solitary Spring Cup winner (13:10). As the Rock Hard Championship Challenge Cup has always leaned towards rewarding managers who get it right towards the end of the season, results in the Spring Cup trumps those from earlier rounds. In the case of a tie-break, a bonus point is awarded to the team reaching the higher position; determined thus: C1, C2, B1, B2, A1, C3 Season 2007-2008Small Rocks Champion: Windsor Wanderers Very Small Rocks: FC Springfield Rock Hard Championship Challenge Cup: FC Springfield Olympic Championship: FC Springfield All Rocks Golden Boot: Rat Face Villians Season 2006-2007Small Rocks Champion: Yellowcake Phantoms Very Small Rocks: Windsor Wanderers Rock Hard Championship Challenge Cup: Vegas Virgins Champions League Cup: 1800-UK.com Season 2005-2006Small Rocks Champion: FC Springfield Very Small Rocks:Pork Soda Rock Hard Championship Cup: FC Springfield Season 2004-2005Small Rocks Champion: Winning Connection FC Very Small Rocks: Windsor Wanderers Rock Hard Championship Cup: FC Springfield Season 2003-2004Small Rocks Champion: Yellowcake Phantoms Rock Hard Championship Cup: Aviators Season 2002-2003Small Rocks Champion: Kopite Juniors Rock Hard Championship Cup: Kopite Juniors |
